The Manufacture Armin Strom AG was founded in 2006 and is based in the watchmaking centre of Biel. But the story of the brand goes back to 1967 when the still young Mr. Armin Strom opened his own shop and began working on his first models. He quickly became successful and within the industry, his name was synonymous with the highest level of hand-made skeletons and watch engravings. To this day, the secular manufacturing processes of Haute Horlogerie are being perpetuated. Indeed, the company ranks among the few manufacturers who still process their watches by hand, decorating them in minute details, with a love of precision and a lot of feeling for aesthetics. From the start, the Manufacture Armin Strom has been concentrating on its own, in-house production. After launching in 2009 its first entirely self-developed movement, the ARM09, with double going barrel and a power-reserve of one week, the company repeats the performance two years later in the form of the AMW11. Since end of September 2011 the successful entrepreneur and founding father of Armin Strom AG is taking a well-deserved retirement. The company is now managed by Owner Serge Michel and Director Claude Greisler, but the brand’s spirit has never been stronger and the new manufactured models promise some spectacular development.
