Starting 2025 off right, Gerald Charles commemorates its 25th anniversary by releasing two stunning new watches on January 20th: the Maestro 2.0 Ultra Lapis Lazuli and the Maestro 9.0 Tourbillon in White Gold. Each of these timepieces exemplifies the brand’s dedication to craftsmanship, innovation, and elegance.

Maestro 2.0 Ultra Lapis Lazuli

Mr. Gérald Charles Genta’s favorite stone, lapis lazuli, takes center stage in the Maestro 2.0 Ultra Lapis Lazuli. This is the first watch in the brand’s history to feature a headstone dial, adding a sophisticated new dimension to the flagship Maestro collection. The Maestro 2.0 subverts traditional watchmaking by integrating this semi-precious stone, which requires an intricate and highly skilled process to craft.

Creating the lapis lazuli dial takes an average of 24 hours and selecting the right stone is challenging because the color within the stone is only revealed upon cutting. The semi-precious dial is framed by a polished stainless-steel case enhanced with a blue Color mix coating on the bezel. This physical and chemical surface treatment not only enriches the bezel's blue hue but also improves its scratch resistance.

The watch's dial design harmonizes the polished bezel with the organic pattern of the lapis lazuli, featuring applied hour markers inlaid with white Swiss Super-LumiNova. A new logo, with 'Genève' beneath the Gerald Charles wordmark, reinforces the brand's connection to the city where its atelier is located. Complementing the dial is the signature rubber strap with Clou de Paris decoration, designed by Gérald Charles Genta for supreme wearability. The Maestro 2.0 is housed in the iconic smiling case, a hallmark of Gerald Charles watches

Maestro 9.0 Tourbillon in White Gold

The Maestro 9.0 Tourbillon in White Gold represents the art of hand-hammered gold dials, housed in Mr. Gérald Charles Genta’s signature smiling case. This timepiece is a nod to the original Maestro collection, which launched in 2005 featuring the first-ever Maestro case with a tourbillon.

The Roman Tourbillon in White Gold, limited to 50 pieces, celebrates Roman architecture and art, with Roman numerals emphasizing the Maestro case's inspiration. This handcrafted masterpiece highlights Gerald Charles' core values and expertise. The uncoated 18K white gold dial, alloyed with palladium, undergoes a meticulous, artisan-led production process, taking no less than 23 hours per piece. Only two of these dials can be produced monthly, ensuring each watch's uniqueness.

Technically, this timepiece features a 60-seconds flying tourbillon with a skeletonized cage in the shape of the GC logo, returning to the original Maestro flying tourbillon design by Mr. Genta. The watch showcases a two-tone color scheme with a blue titanium bezel on a stainless-steel case, exuding both contemporary and classic charm.
