MB&F and BVLGARI may come from different worlds, yet their shared passion for pushing boundaries has resulted in some of the most unexpected and breathtaking creations in haute horology.
BVLGARI, founded in 1884, is synonymous with Italian elegance and Swiss precision, renowned for collections like Serpenti and Octo Finissimo. MB&F, since 2005, has been redefining timekeeping with its three-dimensional horological machines inspired by science fiction, supercars, and the animal kingdom. This creative collision was sparked by a chance encounter between Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, BVLGARI’s Director of Watchmaking, andMaximilian Büsser, the visionary behind MB&F.
Their first collaboration in 2021—the MB&F x BVLGARI LM FlyingT Allegra—fused BVLGARI’s vibrant jewelry aesthetics with MB&F’s innovative mechanics. Now, they reunite for an even more daring creation: the BVLGARI x MB&F Serpenti.
A Bold Reimagining of Serpenti
Serpenti, a timeless symbol of transformation and eternal rebirth, is one of BVLGARI’s most celebrated designs. Bringing it into MB&F’s world of avant-garde watchmaking required a complete reinvention—not just in mechanical engineering but also in case design and movement conception.
A timepiece unlike any other. The snake’s hypnotic eyes serve astherevolving hour and minute domes, precision-machined from solid aluminum for weightless movement. The oversized 14mmflying balance wheel represents the Serpenti’s mind, suspended by a striking three-dimensional bridge. The case itself—crafted in titanium, rose gold, or black PVD steel—demands intricate craftsmanship, with its complex curves, five sapphire crystals, and automotive-inspired details.
Both Fabrizio and Max are car enthusiasts, and that passion is embedded in every detail. The sleek, aerodynamic case mirrors a high-performance sports car, while the stepped sapphire crystal recalls the rear window flaps of an exotic supercar. Even the crowns resemble racing wheels, and the visible movement components evoke a finely tuned engine, complete with a hexagonal grille motif reminiscent of past Serpenti creations.
Limited Edition, Unlimited Innovation
Available in three striking variations—titanium with blue domes, rose gold with green eyes, andblack PVD steel with red eyes—the BVLGARI x MB&F Serpenti is limited to just 33 pieces permodel. With only six to eight movements crafted per month, this is not just a watch—it’s a masterpiece of rarity and innovation.
